Jan, I can relate. As a child, I truly didn't fit anywhere - I didn't have a good friend until I was in high school. These days many of my closest friends are other writers whose words I read online, as well as my church friends and those from the past with whom I have a shared history. Thankfully, I believe it gets easier to let go of the need to be liked as we age. (At least I'm working at it!)

Maggie, thanks so much for your response.

I thought this had sunk in better for me also, but I found myself in a "I don't fit here" situation again recently.

All of a sudden I remembered, "Wait a minute, I need to read the blog I just posted."(This one). The Lord used it to bring me back into peace.

[ I'm sure that has happened to you, dear author-friend. God has taken something you have written to speak again to your heart and life.]

Now, I again know "I can fit anywhere the Lord puts me, because I don't fit anywhere."
