Be Ye Glad...Oh Yes!

Those of us who were adults during the 1970s and 80s may remember the song "Be Ye Glad." It came as a peaceful balm to our souls during the stressful time of the Iranian Hostage Crisis. The spiritual imagery of our life in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is so poignant.
In light of the upheaval in our war-torn world, along with the upheavals in your own personal world, why not take a few moments to listen. Reflect on the message and even sing along.
But mostly, praise our Lord God Jesus Christ who is on His throne...He has overcome the world and your world...so peace, my brother & sister and BE GLAD, He has paid it all!

I wrote Be Ye Glad for my 1980 release LOVE LIVES ON...I wrote the tune during the Iranian hostage crisis of the late 70's and so many of the images in the lyrics were originally derived from that. The concept of Grace received and then, in response to that free gift, being given out to others, has always resonated in me as the heart and central delight of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Love so much larger than our theological constructs and conditions. So much kinder then our hearts can imagine. mkb
