Car Trip with my God and my Guy

We are on a car trip … from Ohio through Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico on our way to our ultimate destination Tucson … John’s home state (yes, he is a “native son”) Home of our Alma Mater, the U of Arizona. (I would say “Go, Wildcats!” But maybe next year.)

In the next blog, I’ll tell you about my high point in Illinois, our first stop in our journey. But first, I would like to share a beautiful reflection I think applies to our journey of life. My friend Cindy sent me a beautiful quote by an artist/author, Karla Dormacher. Read and be blessed along with us.

Oh my friends… the Lord wants us to find joy in the journey… the joy of the Lord! Sometimes a change in perspective is all we need.
Seeing each day as a God adventure… an earthly road trip.
Taking the time to stop along the way and look for Jesus in the midst of all that weighs us down.
Casting our cares upon Him, giving Him our hearts, and trusting that He is right here on this journey with us.

For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
It’s his promise.  Amen

We just had to stop for ice cream after walking at a beautiful reservoir in Tulsa,OK. Beautiful weather…thank you, God!
And thank you, Lord, for helping us out of a difficult parking area.

The big things aren’t too big for Your power
And the little things aren’t too little for Your love.

Ask, and it will be given to you;
seek, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you.
